Lucas Oil Stadium located in Indianapolis, Indiana is a marvel of modern engineering. The large structure is the world’s 4th largest domed structure with a retractable roof. It seats 70,000 and uses enough energy for this one game to power over 750 homes for a year. Attendees will be able to watch replays on the 100 foot Jumbo-Tron located in each end zone.

The NFL halftime show is sponsored by Bridgestone and will feature the Madonna. Whether you like her music or not, it’s certain she will put on a fantastic show.

The National Anthem

Winner of 2 Grammy Awards, singer-songwriter Kelly Clarkson is slated to sing the National Anthem for the pre-game activities. Clarkson said she has been performing the anthem from a young age and is very excited for the opportunity.

According to the Indianapolis Star, Super Bowl Tickets start at about $2,255 for 600 level seats, face value of these tickets range from $875 to $1,250. Club seats on the Giants 50-yard line are as high as $15,000. A Super Suite that includes 15 tickets and food went for $70,125. Best way to go is to purchase a Super Bowl Package in advance with hotel, tickets, tailgate party etc. Reports say that parking spaces in downtown Indianapolis may cost anywhere from $300 to $500, depending on location. Large Number of Volunteers

The Indianapolis Super Bowl XLVI Host Committee is enlisting the help of more than 7,500 men and women to help with dozens of events happening on he days before the big event, and on game day. Volunteers will be used for everything from answering phone calls to greeting visitors at the airport.

Best Super Bowl Parties

The Official NFL Tailgate Party is slated for February 5th and costs $1,250 per ticket. Taste of the NFL Party is February 4th at Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana. It is hosted by the newly crowned Miss America, as well as, current and former NFL players and tickets are $1000. Leather & Laces Party is February 3rd and 4th and tickets are $850. The MAXIM Party is always a high demand event. The most expensive party in town is the Playboy Party with tickets going for as much as $2,000.

Fighter Jets to Patrol Airspace

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has requested the airspace over and around the Super Bowl be restricted and patrolled by U.S. Air Force fighter jets.

FBI Taking Air Samples

Just in case there might even be a chance of terrorist threat, the FBI is taking air samples in Luca Oil Stadium all week and during the big game in order to monitor any changes in the air.
